The Sultan Ahmed Mosque (in Turkish Sultanahmet Camii, in English commonlycalled the Blue Mosque) is a mosque in Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey andthe capital of the Ottoman Empire from 1453 to 1923. It is regarded as one ofthe greatest masterpieces of Islamic architecture.

The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is one of the largest covered markets in the worldwith more than 58 streets and 3000 shops. It is well-known for its jewelry,pottery, spice and carpet shops. Many of the stalls in the bazaar are grouped bytype of good, with regions for leather coats, gold jewelry and the like. It has250,000-400,000 daily visitors.
