cheap vegetarian food
Location: Cockburn St, Edinburgh The best baked potato shop in the world - affordable, huge baked potatoes, whole menu is vegetarian and much of it also vegan. Mostly takeaway but has a small table, gets packed out in summer. Close enough to Princes St gardens that you can buy your spud and go to the gardens to eat it (Scottish weather allowing). Open lunch - early evening. It's called Bahn's Baked Potato Shop and also sells lots of veggie/vegan rolls. It has room for only 3 or 4 people but you can either eat down in Princes Street Gardens or walk up the Royal Mile for just 5 mins and sit on the steps of St Giles Cathedral, but round the back where it's quiet (if you go, you'll find 'round the back' from this). |
