Mazunte
If you walk the beach northwards, then there's a little path going up on the hills/mountain, walk this part up on the hill and around it. On the other side there's an amazing little rock pool, like a natural jacuzzi where you can dive in and sit and swim as the waves crushes in on you making it all fizzy.

Sawcut Gorge
Beautiful limestone gorge. best to go in summer as the 2 hour tramp to the gorge follows the river and involves getting wet. Check the forecast for heavy rain. There is a six bunk hut about 1 hour further up if you want to do an overnighter.

Australia - Victoria
High Country
The Victorian High Country provides most spectacular scenery in Australia. It is both close and remote. Many of the sites are inaccessible in winter when snow closes the roads but this it the time the skiers love. When the tracks open it has the best 4Wdriving. Must see's: Lake Cobbler, King River, Craigs Hut (the Man From Snowy River Hut), Lovick's Hut, Howitt High plains, Wonnangatta Valley, Historic Grant, Pinnacle Lookout. As well as Trout fishing in remote streams
Philippines - Batangas, South Luzon
Anilao
The whole of Anilao is full of a number of resorts. The beaches are not great, but the diving is fun - mainly reef diving, although there are the occassional sunken wrecks. Prices are very cheap. Recently attended a coastal cleanup with all accomm, food and 4 dives over two days for a mere P3,000 ($55). Usual week- end rates are around P2,000 (Well for AquaReef at any rate)
