Powerscourt
One of the World's Great Gardens. Powerscourt is situated 19km south of Dublinin the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains. It is a sublime blend of formalgardens, sweeping terraces, statuary and ornamental lakes together with secrethollows, rambling walks and over 200 varieties of trees and shrubs.The 18th Century Palladian House now incorporates shops, cafe and house exhibition.

Jamesons Whiskey Distillery
For a great tour, and some free samples head to the Jameson Distillery in Dublin. This is less popular (and hence less crowded) than the Guiness Brewery Tour, but a lot more fun and laid back!!

Only one place to see
If there is one town to visit in Ireland, it would have to Doolin County clare. I have travelled all around the country, and this got to be the best. Its a small village that has three kicking pubs, the town is known for its traditionally irish music, which may sound a liitle dull, but in the setting

The self guided tour includes displays on the history of Guinness and of Guinness advertising. You can see the video of every Guinness add ever made and before long you will feel the need to head upstairs for your free pint in the Gravity bar that has the best views of Dublin on offer.
