with more than 58 streets and 3000 shops. It is well-known for its jewelry,
pottery, spice and carpet shops. Many of the stalls in the bazaar are grouped by
type of good, with regions for leather coats, gold jewelry and the like. It has
250,000-400,000 daily visitors.

I will be in istanbul on vacation in September and plan on shopping in the Grand Bazaar. Would most shop owners ship purchased merchandise back to Canada? Your response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Geri

Yes, they have it all organized. You haggle like mad for the carpet, but the shipping costs are set (between 100 and 300 to go to Canada). From all I have talked to, the rugs do get sent and all is good.

Could you please tell me where the steert with the pet shops are they say that it is behind the bazaar but from what I understand they are a lot of streets in the grand bazaar so I do not want go get lost.

The pet shop is just behind the spice market or just behind the New Mosque. Luxury Istanbul may customize a nice tour for you. cheers
