Location: North end of the Canal is just east of the Parliment Buildings near the National Art Center (NAC)
In the winter it is the worlds largest skating rink. Round trip from Dows lake to NAC and back is approx 16K. There are many huts along the way to stop at and get a drink, or a famous Bever Tail (pastry). In February during winterlude you can see the Snow Sculptures at Dows lake or the Ice Sculpture at the NAC end of the canal. The cost is free however they have donation boxes for maintance of the canal at the entry points. There are several entery points along the route. It is a great way to see the city and get some fresh air.
