A little gem of a place. We parked as soon as we could and took a leisurely stroll along the sea front. There is a cafe/ice cream parlour where we sat and watched the sailors getting their dinghies ready as the tide came in. Behind us, lots of really good pubs and restaurants. We passed the pier and then it all changed to small sandy coves surrounded by rocks and even an occasional cave. Great for all the family without being too commercialised.

Thousands of crosses ranging from those taller than humans to the very small adorn a few small hills just outside of Siauliai in Lithuania. Razed to the ground several times this sacred site has been rebuilt again and again by the people who believe in it .

Dont miss out on Sarajevo, if your in Dubrovnik there are good bus links. It's a great place, still quite a bit of war damage out of town, but the old town is great. And really safe. If you go there a walking tour is worthwhile, Sarajevo has an amazing history, past and present. Mostar is also worth a look, about half way between Dubrovnik, and Sarajevo.

Take the Bus in Mexico! That's right. Most people have a vision in their minds of Mexican buses that are dirty and full of very poor country people carrying chickens in cages. Nothing could be further from the truth. Mexican buses are immaculate. They are far more comfortable and cleaner than American bus lines. They have spacious chairs with plenty of room to sleep on overnight rides. They even have first run American movies in English with Spanish subtitles. You can travel by bus f....

7 miles of clean sandy beaches, the best seaside town in the UK without a doubt. Great bars, clubs, nightlife. Plenty of hotels/ B&Bs etc. Watersports in summer. After London it is the 2nd UK city for foreign students learning English. Very clean & friendly town! (Dont bother with Brighton or Southend- very dirty, overpriced, horrible beaches and run down).

This Market is fanastic, it has a bit of everything, alot of crafts, fruit and vegetables, food, pottery, and also various works from local residents. Very enjoyable on a nice sunny day.

There is nothing better after a hard day on the beach, than relaxing in the warm summer air, watching a good film - and the outdoor cinemas are fantastic. They usually show a good variety of films, everything from classics, to arthouse, to recent hollywood blockbusters - all with greek subtitles.

Now houses 100,000 native trees and shrubs, lakes and water courses, a rainforest, as well as kangaroo, wallaby, platypus and possum and countless birds and butterflies, all enclosed in a vermon-proof environment.
